Games at Missouri, Memphis Highlight Fall Schedule

LITTLE ROCK – Head coach Chris Curry and the Trojan baseball team have begun fall workouts, preparing for the 2020 season at Gary Hogan Field. For the second-straight season, the fall practice slate will conclude with a pair of exhibition contests as the Trojans will take on Memphis October 27 and Missouri on November 2.
 
While not its competition season, Little Rock baseball will remain active over the next month with a number of events taking place during its fall practice schedule.
 
October 4 – Pancake Breakfast
An annual tradition in the fall, Little Rock will hold its pancake breakfast on Friday, October 4 from 7 – 8:30 a.m. at Gary Hogan Field. The cost of the breakfast is $5 with proceeds going directly back to supporting the program.
 
October 19 – Alumni Weekend
Little Rock alumni are invited back for Alumni Weekend on Saturday, October 19. There will be a golf outing at 8:30 a.m. at the Country Club of Arkansas with Sam Vogel (Samuel.vogel2@stryker.com) serving as the contact. The Trojans will then hold an intrasquad scrimmage at 12 p.m. at Gary Hogan Field, followed by an alumni softball game directly after the scrimmage. October 24 – Charity Softball Game
Little Rock will team up with local police and firemen for a charity softball game Thursday, October 24 at Gary Hogan Field. The game will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the price of admission either a $5 ticket or canned goods with all donations benefitting the Arkansas Hunger Relief Fund as well as the UA Little Rock Trojan Food Pantry.
 
October 27 – Scrimmage One at Memphis
The Trojans' first scrimmage of the fall season will take place Sunday, October 27 at FedEx Park in Memphis when Little Rock takes on the Tigers at 3 p.m.
 
November 2 – Scrimmage Two at Missouri
Little Rock's fall season comes to a close on Saturday, November 2 when the Trojans venture north to Columbia, Missouri, taking on Mizzou at Taylor Stadium with a 1 p.m. first pitch.
 
The 2020 Little Rock baseball schedule will be released in the coming weeks as Curry and his squad look to build on last season's memorable campaign, one which saw the Trojans win 29 games, 18 of which came in Sun Belt play, and finish with the second-best overall mark in league play.
