CARROLTON, Texas - Little Rock closed out the opening round of the challenging Maridoe Invitational with a 22-over 310, sitting 11th among the 12 team field at Maridoe Golf Club.

The Trojans' 22-over 310 its one shot ahead of 12th-place UTEP (23-over 311) as Little Rock sits within striking distance of a number of teams with two rounds to play. The Trojans are one shot back of 10th-place Nebraska (21-over 309) and two shots back of ninth-place UT San Antonio (20-over 308), entering Monday's second round eight shots out of fifth-place.
Scores were high across the board at Maridoe Golf Club as
Aaron Ramos posted the low round of the day for Little Rock with a 4-over 76, tied for 27th.
Logan Pate is tied for 31st with a 5-over 77, followed by
Anton Albers' 6-over 78 and
Danial Durisic's 7-over 79.
Marcel Rauch rounds out the Little Rock scorecard with a 10-over 82.
SMU holds the team lead at 1-under 287, five shots better than host North Texas in second (4-over 292). Arkansas State (9-over 297) is third with Texas A&M (10-over 298), New Mexico (14-over 302) and Washington (15-over 303) rounding out the top-six.
Little Rock's second round begins at 9:40 a.m. Monday morning as the Trojans will be part of the second wave to tee off from hole 10, playing with Nebraska and UTEP over the second 18 holes. Live scoring is available at
