PALM DESERT, Calif – Little Rock is tied for 11th after the opening round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, being held at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, California. The Trojans shot a 15-over 303 in round one and is two shots back of sitting among the team top-10.

Little Rock's effort in round one was paced by 2-over 74s from both senior
Justin Warren and sophomore
Aaron Ramos as the duo is tied for 24th among the individual standings. Freshman
Anton Albers is third among the Trojans, posting a 4-over 76 in his first collegiate round with
Carter Patterson (7-over 79) and
Danial Durisic (9-over 81) rounding out the Little Rock scorecard.
The Trojans sit tied with UC Riverside in a tie for 11th, one shot ahead of both Cal Poly and Santa Clara, who are tied for 13th with a 14-over 304. Little Rock heads into round two two shots back of Sun Belt foe UT Arlington (13-over 301) for 10th overall and is just three shots out of a tie for eighth with both host Wyoming and Denver (12-over 300).
Texas Tech and Colorado State hold the team lead after 18 holes at 2-over 290 as scores were high for the entire field throughout the day. TCU (3-over 291) is one shot off the pace with Boise State (5-over 293) fourth and Colorado and Kansas tied for fifth at 9-over 297.
Saturday's second round will once again get underway for Little Rock in the final grouping off hole one, getting underway at 11:40 a.m. CT. The Trojans will play with Denver, UT Arlington and UC Riverside in the round two pairings, beginning with Durisic's tee time and working up to Warren at 12:20 p.m. CT.
