PALM DESERT, Calif. – Senior
Justin Warren and Little Rock closed out its weekend in California with ninth-place finishes at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, wrapping up the final round Sunday afternoon.

Warren nabs his third top-10 individual finish of the year, closing out the 54-hole event with a 1-under 215. After opening with a 2-over 74 in round one, Warren regrouped to shoot a 1-under 71 Saturday, followed by a 2-under 70 Sunday to finish ninth among the 120-player field. Warren maintained his scoring average under par at 71.59, upping his season rounds of par-or-better to 10.
The senior finished three shots ahead of sophomore teammate
Aaron Ramos, who tied for 13th overall with a 2-over 218. After a 2-over 74 in round one, Ramos notched a 1-over 73 in Saturday's round before closing out with a 1-under 71 in round three for his fourth top-20 individual showing.
Freshman
Anton Albers tied for 52nd in his Little Rock debut and made a strong push over Sunday's final round, shooting an even-par 72 to finish at 9-over 225.
Danial Durisic posted an 18-over 234 with
Carter Patterson rounding out the Trojan scorecard with a 20-over 236.
As a team, Little Rock finished with an even-par 288 over the final 18 holes, closing out its time in California with a 24-over 888. The Trojans improved each round, rebounding from a disappointing 303 in round one to notch a 9-over 297 in round two before Sunday's even-par showing.
Little Rock finished tied for ninth with Cal State Fullerton among the 21-team field. three shots better than host Wyoming (27-over 891) in 11th place. The Trojans and Titans were both five shots back of eighth-place San Francisco (19-over 883) as Little Rock registers its fifth top-five team finish of the 2018-19 season.
Texas Tech captured the team title at 6-under 858, holding off Boise State (5-under 859) by one shot to finish first. Kansas (2-over 866) finished third, followed by TCU (3-over 867) in fourth and Colorado State and Sun Belt foe UT Arlington (13-over 877) tying for fifth.
Little Rock will now have some time off before returning to action in Texas in March, traveling to Laredo for the annual Border Olympics being held March 11-12 at the Laredo Country Club.
