Career Days from Lasker and DeGray Carry Trojans

LITTLE ROCK- Tori Lasker had a career night as she made a career-high eight three-pointers while pouring in 28 points to lead the Trojans to an 82-50 win over Georgia State Saturday afternoon inside the Jack Stephens Center.

Raeyana DeGray scored a career-high 21 points with 12 rebounds in her final game at the Jack. Kyra Collier also tallied double-digit points with 13 on the day, also notching four assists and two rebounds.

It was a season-high in points for Little Rock as a team, besting their 80-point performance in their last contest against Georgia Southern.

It was senior day at Jack Stephens Center, as Ronjanae DeGray, Ra. DeGray, Kiara Scott and Yanina Inkina were honored postgame for their hard work and commitment to the Little Rock women's basketball program.

Lasker drained a three-pointer for the first basket of the game in the opening minute of the game. Two more buckets from the sophomore gave her seven of the Trojans' first eight points. Little Rock followed with a 9-0 run which included a three-point play from Raeyana DeGray to spark the explosive first quarter. The Trojans held the Panthers to just nine percent from the floor in the first quarter to get out to a 18-6 lead after the first 10 minutes.

Kyra Collier caught fire in the second quarter when the junior made back-to-back threes to push the Little Rock lead to 18 points. Lasker continued her hot shooting from beyond the arc with back-to-back threes of her own to burst into double-digit scoring on the day. Lasker's three-pointers were the catalyst in an 8-0 to make the score 36-12 at the media timeout in the second period. She was not done, however, and made back-to-back threes yet again to give herself 19 first-half points and reach a season-high of five threes. All-in-all, Little Rock would make seven of eight field goals in the final minutes of the half to jump out to a 42-20 after out-scoring Georgia State 24-14 in the quarter.

The Trojans endured a two-minute scoring drought to start the third quarter and the Panthers cut the lead to 15 points. However, two Ra. DeGray free throws would help Little Rock get back on track. Lasker's sixth and sevenths threes finally gave the Trojans some breathing room in the third quarter.

Lasker knocked down her eighth three of the day in the fourth quarter to bring her point total to 28 with just over four minutes left in the game. This gave the Trojans a 34-point lead and they would cruise to a 82-50 victory over Georgia State on senior day.

The Trojans head back on the road for the final weekend of their regular season conference schedule when they travel to Lafayette to face Louisiana March 7 at 6:30 p.m.
