"This group is excited to get back at it after a month off and I expect us to build on the success from the indoor championship and start the outdoor season off strong," said head coach
J.P. Behnke. "The men's 4x100m will be taking the track for the first time since finishing 12th in the nation last June. UTA will definitely give that group a run for their money."
This will be the 39th installment of the Bobby Lane Invitational at Maverick Stadium as more than two dozen schools from across all divisions are expected to compete. Field events get underway Friday afternoon and will continue into Saturday morning with the running events starting at 11 a.m. Saturday. Live results of the meet are available through Delta Timing.
Little Rock heads to Texas looking for a strong start to the outdoor season with nearly the entire team set to compete this weekend. The Trojans have 48 entries in the heat sheets at UT Arlington, including the 4x100 meter relay team that earned All-America honors at last season's NCAA Championships.
The meet in Texas will be the first of six events during the outdoor season for Little Rock, a schedule which will take the Trojans to five different states during the spring. Those events will lead up to the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championships, being held May 10-12 in Jonesboro.
