Little Rock's spring season continues in the Lone Star state as the Trojans get set to compete at the 2019 Border Olympics March 11-12 at the Laredo Country Club in Laredo, Texas.
 
Tournament Format
The 2019 Border Olympics, hosted by the University of Houston, will be a 54-hole tournament held Monday, March 11 and Tuesday, March 12 at the Laredo Country Club – a par-72, 7,375-yard course in Laredo, Texas. The opening two rounds will be held Monday, March 11, beginning with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The final 18 holes will take place Tuesday, March 12, again with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Tournament Field
Little Rock is one of 17 teams competing at this week's Border Olympics and is one of three Sun Belt teams among the field, joined by Arkansas State and ULM. The Trojans, ranked number 96 in this week's rankings, are one of six teams currently ranked among the GolfStat 100, comprised of the Red Wolves (No. 20), Campbell (No. 45), UT San Antonio (No. 77), host Houston (No. 94) and Western Kentucky (No. 100) with ULM (No. 101), Sam Houston State (No. 107) and UMKC (No. 110) adding to a strong field.
 
Trojan Lineup
Head coach Jake Harrington's squad will once again be led by senior Justin Warren and his team-best 71.59 scoring average. Sophomore Aaron Ramos (72.35) will play the number two position with freshman Anton Albers playing his second tournament of the year and senior George Scanlon making his season debut.

Trojans at the Border Olympics
Little Rock will be competing in Laredo for the fourth-straight year and for the seventh time since the 2005-06 season. The Trojans have finished in the top-10 of the competitive event twice, highlighted by tying for fifth at the 2017 event. Last season, Little Rock placed 11th with a 3-over 867, including a 4-under 284 in round two, with Warren tied for 29th with a 1-under 215.
 
Last Time Out
Both senior Justin Warren and Little Rock placed ninth at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate February 22-24 in Palm Desert, California. Warren posted a 1-under 215, including a 2-under 70 in round three, leading the Trojans to an even-par 288 over the final round. Sophomore Aaron Ramos also placed among the top-20, tying for 13th overall with a 2-over 218.
 
Back in the Lone Star State
Little Rock returns to the state of Texas for the third time this season with positive results in the first two trips to the Lone Star state. The Trojans opened the season tying for third at the Lone Star Invitational in San Antonio (Sept. 10-11), led by Justin Ramos tying for fifth and Aaron Ramos tying for 10th. Little Rock then notched a runner-up showing at the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas (Sept. 23-25) as Warren broke the program's single-tournament record with an 11-under 202, including an 8-under 64 in round one.
 
Looking Ahead
The challenging spring schedules continues next week when the Trojans will visit their sixth different state on the year, competing in the Lake Charles Invitational. Hosted by McNeese, the two-day event will be held Monday, March 18 and Tuesday, March 19 at the Country Club at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
