LITTLE ROCK- The Trojans will return to Sun Belt Conference action when they travel south to Monroe, La. to take on ULM in a three-game series starting April 18 at 6 p.m.

Little Rock is currently 17-19 (9-5 Sun Belt) after a 4-2 win over in-state rival Central Arkansas. In conference play, the maroon and silver sit in second place in the Sun Belt West Division and second place overall. The Trojans used a big three-run home run from
Riley Pittman as well as some solid performances from the Little Rock pitching staff to pick up the win. In their previous conference series, Little Rock took two games from nationally ranked Coastal Carolina. The Trojans scored 22 runs in the two games and got a wonderful start from
Hayden Arnold to complete the perfect week.

Nick Perez has stepped in to the starting first baseman job and has excelled his position. After almost exclusively making appearances as a pitcher, Perez has emerged as one of the Trojans' top hitters, posting a .371 average with three doubles and 10 RBI in his 10 full games as a position player. His contributions have been very valuable during Little Rock's recent streak, winning 10 of their last 11 games.

Scouting ULM
The Warhawks come into this weekend's series with a 15-21 record (5-9 Sun Belt) and currently sit in last place of the Sun Belt West Division. ULM has lost three straight games, as they dropped two games to Appalachian State in their previous conference series and fell to Louisiana Tech in Tuesday's contest. The Warhawks have posted a .258 team batting average with 25 home runs. Trent Tingelstad leads the way with a .378 average, 11 doubles and five home runs. Their pitching staff has struggled thus far, posing a 6.49 team ERA to this point.

Midweek Matchup
After this conference series, the Trojans will head to Ruston, La. to play Louisiana Tech in a single midweek game on Tuesday. First pitch with the Conference USA opponent is set for 6 p.m. on April 23.
