2019-20 Little Rock Men's Golf Schedule
Little Rock's fall schedule begins with a lot of time in the Lone Star state as the Trojans' first three tournaments of the year takes them to Texas. The season begins in San Antonio at the Lone Star Invitational September 16-17, an event in which Little Rock tied for third to open last season's campaign.
The Trojans return to Texas the following week, competing at the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas September 22-24. Little Rock placed sixth at SMU's host event 2018 marking the event former Trojan
Justin Warren set the program record for lowest individual round (7-under 64) and lowest 54-hole tournament score (11-under 202).
A return trip to the DFW metroplex is on tap for Little Rock two weeks later, heading to Carrollton for the North Texas Maridoe Invitational, being held October 6-8.
Little Rock closes out the fall portion of its schedule with its annual home tournament at Chenal Country Club, hosting the 2019 Little Rock Invitational. The Trojans placed fourth at Chenal in 2018 after back-to-back tournament titles and are set to welcome over a dozen programs to central Arkansas to close the fall season.
After a winter break, Little Rock will open the spring portion of its schedule in typical fashion with a pair of constant tournaments. The Trojans return from their hiatus at the Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson, Arizona, January 27-28, before making their yearly trip to Laredo, Texas, for the 2020 Border Olympics February 24-25.
Three new tournaments then await Little Rock, beginning with a return trip to Arizona. The Trojans will compete in the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate, hosted by Michigan, March 7-8 in Scottsdale. Little Rock then visits northern California for The Goodwin, Stanford's annual host tournament, being held March 26-28 at Stanford's home course.
After a pair of trips out west, Little Rock will stay relatively close to home to close out the regular season. The Trojans venture north to Columbia, Missouri, for the Missouri Tiger Invitational April 6-7, then travel southeast to West Point, Mississippi, for the annual Old Waverly Intercollegiate, hosted by Mississippi State, April 13-14. Little Rock placed fourth at Old Waverly in 2019, shooting a 14-under 850 in the process.
Those tournaments will be the final tune-up for Little Rock before the 2020 Sun Belt Conference Championship, being held April 19-22. A host venue is still in the works for the conference tournament as Little Rock looks to build off last season's 12-under 840, an event in which it was among the top-three teams until the final nine holes.
The successes of last season have helped Little Rock improve its national perception as the Trojans finished among the GolfStat top-100 in 2019-20, their highest finish since the 2003-04 season. Little Rock returns the bulk of its lineup from last season, including seniors
Danial Durisic and
Logan Pate, All-Sun Belt selection
Aaron Ramos and sophomore
Anton Albers, all of which finished the 2018-19 season with scoring averages under 73.50.
