Tournament Information
The 2019 Lone Star Invitational will be held Monday, September 16 and Tuesday, September 17, at TPC San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas – a par-72 course measuring 7,435 yards. The 54-hole tournament will be broken up into 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday, both of which get underway with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring will be available at

Tournament Field
Little Rock is one of 11 teams competing in the season-opening Lone Star Invitational and is one of five Sun Belt Conference opponents, joined by Louisiana, South Alabama, ULM and UT Arlington. The Trojans, which finished the 2018-19 season ranked number 100 in the GolfStat final rankings, are one of five teams that boasted top-100 showings last season, joined by UT San Antonio (No. 83), ULM (No. 88), South Alabama (No. 93) and Houston (No. 99).

Returning nearly its entire roster from last season, Little Rock will have a familiar lineup as it takes the course in the Lone Star state.
Aaron Ramos, a second team All-Sun Belt selection, will play the number one position for the Trojans, joined by seniors

Last Year at the Lone Star Invitational
Little Rock tied for third out of 15 teams at last season's Lone Star Invitational, posting a 13-over 589 over the weather-shortened tournament. A pair of Trojans finished in the top-10, led by
Justin Warren tying for fifth with an even-par 144, with
Aaron Ramos tying for 10th overall with a 2-over 146.

Coming Back Strong
As it heads into the 2019-20 season, Little Rock will benefit from having the bulk of its golfers returning from a strong 2018-19 campaign. The Trojans boast a pair of seniors in
Logan Pate and
Danial Durisic, both of which finished finished among the top-four in scoring average.
Aaron Ramos is Little Rock's top returning player, finishing with a 71.94 average last year – marking the third-lowest scoring average in program history, while sophomore
Anton Albers is coming off a strong spring season with a 72.67 scoring average.

A Year for the Record Books
Little Rock's 2018-19 season is one that went down in the Trojan record books, setting a handful of program-bests. The team set a new season record with a 286.97 scoring average while setting new high water marks for birdies (481) and eagles (17) in a season. Little Rock also set new program-bests in scoring average for par three (3.098), par four (4.131) and par five (4.829) holes while its GolfStat ranking of 100 is the highest in program history since the 2003-04 season when it finished 97th.

Challenging Schedule Ahead
The 2019-20 schedule will once again prove a challenging slate for Little Rock as the Trojans will compete in 11 regular season tournaments spanning six different states. Texas will be the Trojans' most common destination, heading to the Lone Star state four times, with a pair of tournaments in the state of Arkansas, including the Little Rock Golf Classic at Chenal Country Club in October and the 2020 Sun Belt Conference Championship at Mystic Creek Golf Club in El Dorado in April.

Looking Ahead
Little Rock returns to the Lone Star state next week, heading to Dallas for the 2019 Trinity Forest Invitational. The event, hosted by SMU, will be held at Trinity Forest Golf Club September 22 through 24 as the Trojans look to repeat its record-breaking performance from last fall.
