The Trojan trio each took different routes to reach their 1-under round one scoring, but each came up clutch on a number of holes. Beginning on hole 10, Ramos parred the first eight holes of the day before a bogey on 18 put him at 1-over. He then responded with birdies on one and six with seven more pars for a 2-under 34 over the front nine.

Albers had a pair of birdies and a pair of bogeys over the back nine and was even through the first nine holes before birdies on one and five, followed by a bogey on six, put him at 1-under. Pate went bogey-birdie-birdie-bogey on his first holes before parring out the back nine. After bogeys on one and four put him at 2-over, he birdied three of his final five holes to put him at 1-under.

The trio hold a two stroke lead on Danial Durisic, who is at 1-over 72 after going 1-over through the back nine and even on the front. Marcel Rauch rounds out the Trojan scorecard with a 4-over 75 in round one, including a 1-over 36 through the back nine.

Little Rock enters Monday's second round three shots off the pace after host SMU and Arizona State carded 5-under 279s on Sunday. The Trojans are one shot back of third-place UC Davis' 3-under 281 and hold a two shot edge on Houston with an even-par 284. Rice (2-over 286) is four shots back of Little Rock in sixth.

The Trojans will be in the second wave to tee off from hole one on Monday, beginning with Rauch's 8:45 a.m. tee time and leading up to Ramos getting underway at 9:21 a.m. Little Rock will play with Houston and SMU's B-team over the second 18 holes with live scoring available at GolfStat.com.
