DALLAS – A fast start on the front nine thrust Little Rock into contention at the Trinity Forest Invitational before the Trojans settled into tie for fifth among the 17-team field, posting a 3-under 281 in round two. With 18 holes remaining Little Rock has carded a 5-under 563.

Little Rock came out firing through the opening nine holes as the team shot a combined 12-under over the front nine, a tally that included 15 birdies and a pair of eagles. That pace was set by
Aaron Ramos and
Logan Pate both firing a 5-under 31 through as Ramos recorded three birdies and an eagle and Pate notched five birdies.
Danial Durisic finished the front nine at 3-under, just ahead of
Marcel Rauch's 2-under 34, which included an eagle on the par-five first.
Anton Albers finished even through the front nine for Little Rock as the Trojans surged to the top of the team leaderboard.
That surge cooled over the back nine, however, as Little Rock went a combined nine-over to finish with the 3-under 281 after 36 holes.
Individually, Ramos is tied for seventh overall with a 4-under 138, following his 3-under 68 in round two. He holds a two shot edge on Pate, who finished with a 1-under 70 for the second-straight round and is also among the individual top-20, tied for 16th at 2-under 140.
Following his 1-over 72 in round two, Albers is even through 36 holes at 142, one shot better than Durisic's 1-over 143 after an even-par 71. Rauch rounds out the Trojan scorecard at 8-over 150, carding his second-straight 4-over 75.
With 18 holes to go, the Trojans sit tied with Rice in the number five spot with the 5-under 563, one shot ahead of seventh-place Ball State's 4-under 564. SMU and Arizona State sit tied for the team lead at 21-under 547 after the duo both shot 16-under in round two, leading third-place Houston (11-under 557) by 10 strokes. UC Davis (6-under 562) occupies the number four spot, one shot better than the Trojans.
Tuesday's final round begins with an 8 a.m. tee time from holes one and 10 as Little Rock will be among the second wave to tee off from hole one. Live scoring of the final round is available at
