DALLAS – Aaron Ramos and
Logan Pate both finished among the individual top-10 as Little Rock finished fifth at the competitive Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas. The Trojans shot a 1-under 283 over the final 18 holes, closing out the event at 6-under 846, the fifth-lowest 54 hole tournament tally in program history.

Ramos closed out the tournament in Dallas tying for fourth among the 90-player field, shooting a 6-under 207, including a 2-under 69 in round three. The 207 is tied for the fifth-lowest individual tournament in program history and is the fifth top-10 showing of Ramos' Trojan career, lowering his season scoring average to 71.33 through two events.
Pate matched Ramos' 2-under 69 over the final 18 holes to finish tied for ninth with a 4-under 209, sitting tied for the 12th lowest individual tournament in program history. For the Texas native, it is his fourth top-10 finish during his Trojan career as his season scoring average now sits at 73.50.
Anton Albers placed third among the Trojans and 33rd overall with a 1-over 214, carding a 1-over 72 over the final 18 holes.
Danial Durisic shot a 7-over 220, including his final round 6-over 77, with
Marcel Rauch finishing with a 10-over 223, posting a 2-over 73 over the final round.
Entering the day tied for fifth, Little Rock once again was solid among the front nine, combining for 12 birdies and an eagle from Albers on the par-four sixth. The back nine played better for the Trojans Tuesday as Little Rock finished with six birdies, but still succumbed to 11 bogeys and a pair of doubles.
Little Rock finished one shot back of Rice (7-under 845) in fourth, holding a comfortable six shot advantage on sixth-place UC Davis (Even-par 852). Arizona State captured the team title after shooting a course-record 30-under 822, led by individual champion Alex del Rey setting a new tournament record finishing at 16-under 197.
Host SMU notched runner-up honors with a 26-under 826, four shots back of the Sun Devils, with Houston (17-under 835) placing third, 10 shots ahead of the fourth-place Owls and 11 strokes better than the Trojans.
With its second top-five finish in as many weeks, Little Rock will take a break from action until the first week in October when it returns to Texas for the Maridoe Invitational. Hosted by North Texas, the event will take place October 6 and 7 at Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas.
