Little Rock returns to action for the first time in 2020, getting the spring season underway at the 40th annual Arizona Intercollegiate at Sewailo Golf Club in Tucson, Arizona.

Tournament Information
The 40th annual Arizona Intercollegiate will be held Monday, January 27 and Tuesday, January 28 at Sewailo Golf Club in Tucson, which will play a par-71 spread out over 7,292 yards. The 54-hole event will be played over the course of two days, beginning with 36 holes Monday and 18 holes Tuesday with a 9 a.m. CT (8 a.m. MT) shotgun start both days. Tournament Field
Little Rock is one of 14 teams competing at the annual event and will help comprise a strong field, sitting as one of nine teams ranked in the latest GolfStat top-100 at number 68. Five teams are among the top-50, including host Arizona (No. 11), Baylor (No. 12), Washington (No. 17), New Mexico (No. 36) and Long Beach State (No. 44), with St. Mary's (No. 62), Mississippi State (No. 80) and Iowa State (No. 84) joining the Trojans in the top-100.

Last Year in Arizona
2020 marks the second year Little Rock will compete at the Arizona Intercollegiate, looking to improve after tying for 13th at the 2019 event. The Trojans shot a 5-over 857 and were led by
Aaron Ramos' 1-under 212, tying for 32nd overall.
Justin Warren posted an even-par 213, tying for 36th.

Fall Recap
Little Rock posted a strong fall season, finishing in the top-five in three of its four events. As a team, the Trojans posted a 294.00 average per round with 13 individual rounds of par-or-better. Individually,
Anton Albers is the top returner for the Trojans with a 74.00 scoring average and a pair of par-or-better rounds while
Logan Pate shot a 74.17 average with a top-10 finish at the Trinity Forest Invitational.

National Surge
At the end of the fall portion of the schedule, Little Rock found itself ranked 68th in the GolfStat national rankings, the Trojan's best mid-season ranking in nearly 20 years. The Trojans' best national finish was 56th in 2000-01 as Little Rock has finished among the top-100 nationally six times, including last year's number 100 final ranking.

Welcome Back
There will be a familiar face walking with the Trojans this spring as former Little Rock golfer Patrick Sullivan returns to his alma mater as an assistant coach. Sullivan, who spent time golfing professionally, ranks fifth all-time in program history in career scoring average (73.57), including a career-best 72.14 in 2004-05. He notched three tournament wins as a Trojan and ranks among the top-five in a number of statistical categories, including tied for second with 39 rounds of par-or-better.

Challenging Spring
This week's event in Arizona begins a challenging spring schedule for Little Rock as the Trojans will compete in seven tournaments in six different states. Little Rock will return to Arizona once more this season, playing at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate in Scottsdale March 7-8, while also competing in Texas, California, Missouri and Mississippi, leading up to the Sun Belt Conference Championship April 26-29 at Mystic Creek Golf Club in El Dorado.
