TUCSON, Ariz. – Little Rock closed out the first tournament of the fall season with a 14th-place finish at the Arizona Intercollegiate at Sewailo Golf Club. The Trojans posted a 6-over 290 over the final 18 holes, finishing at 38-over 890 for the two-day event.

Logan Pate led Little Rock tying for 27th among the 84-player field with a 4-over 217, including an even-par 71 over the final round. Pate upped his career par-or-better total to 31, breaking into the Trojan top-10 and sitting in eighth-place all time, one back of three players tied for fifth.
Danial Durisic placed second on the Trojan scorecard with a 7-over 220, finishing the event with a 4-over 75.
Anton Albers and
Marcel Rauch both carded a 15-over 228 with
Devon Whitaker rounding out the Little Rock scorecard with a 1-over 72. The 72 was one off Whitaker's career-best as he notched the second-lowest round of the day for the Trojans.
The struggles on day one of the tournament put Little Rock in a whole it would never recover from as the Trojans finished eight shots back of 13th-place New Mexico State (30-over 882) and nine shots behind Washington State (29-over 881) in 12th. Little Rock finished 13 shots back of ULM (25-over 877), the only other Sun Belt school among the field.
Arizona dominated in its home tournament, taking home the team title with a 21-under 831, besting second-place Baylor (12-under 840) by nine shots. Washington finished even-par (852) in third with New Mexico (3-over 855) fourth and Iowa State and Mississippi State (7-over 859) tying for fifth.
Little Rock returns to action in four weeks, heading to Laredo, Texas for the annual Border Olympics. Hosted by Houston, the event will be held February 24-25 at the Laredo Country Club.
