Little Rock Baseball and Marucci Sports Agree to Partnership

BATON ROUGE, La. – Marucci Sports introduced the Little Rock Trojans as its newest college baseball partner on Thursday, July 16.

As part of the partnership, Marucci will be the Trojans' exclusive provider of bats, fielding gloves, bags and helmets. In collaboration with the team and head coach Chris Curry, Marucci will deliver the Trojan's custom fielding and batting gloves.

"I've always respected the first-class way the Marucci staff carries themselves and treats everyone so professionally," said Curry. "Having played briefly with Kurt and Trey and getting to know Justin, Kyle and Tanna during my coaching days in Louisiana, I've been able see the Marucci team in action. It's easy to see that they care about the detailed needs of each program and their players. The Trojans' core values of respecting the game as well as each other line up perfectly with the Marucci standard."

Little Rock has been a leading program in the Sun Belt Conference for many years. 40 players have earned All-Sun Belt honors, with Curry receiving the 2016 Sun Belt Coach of the Year honor.

"Over the years, we've seen Marucci products rise to the top of professional and college baseball, and we are excited here at Little Rock to compete with their gear in our dugout.  We are grateful to the Marucci team for inviting Little Rock Baseball to join the Marucci family," said Curry.

Curry has led the Trojans to five-straight Sun Belt Tournaments and six wins over ranked opponents during his tenure. In 2019, Little Rock became the first team in Arkansas state history to defeat the other four in-state Division I program in the same season, going 8-0 against teams from the Natural State.
