Little Rock Recognized as 2019-20 GCAA Outstanding Team Academic Award Winner

NORMAN, Okla. – For the eighth time since 2010, Little Rock has been recognized as an Outstanding Team Academic Award winner by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

As a team, the Trojans boast a 3.275 cumulative GPA and are coming off a strong spring semester, finishing the shortened season with a 3.500 team GPA. Five members of the team have cumulative grade points averages over 3.00 as the honor comes on the heels of Anton Albers, Danial Durisic and Marcel Rauch being named GCAA All-America Scholars earlier this week.

Little Rock was having another strong season on the course as the Trojans finished the fall season ranked 67th in the GolfStat national rankings, the program's best mark in nearly 20 years. The Trojans finished the season with a 295.48 scoring average and had 20 individual rounds of par or better before the season was cut short in mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The honor continues a tradition of academic excellence as Little Rock has been recognized for it's success in the classroom for the third-straight season. Individually, 17 Trojan golfers have earned All-America Scholar honors during that same span.
