The afternoon round saw Little Rock card a 5-over 293, the third-best score of the round against a talented field. The Trojans sat in first for the majority of the second round, settling into the first-place tie with 44th-ranked UAB, as the duo sit three shots ahead of both East Tennessee State and Middle Tennessee State (18-over 594), who are tied for third with host Chattanooga (22-over 598) rounding out the top-five.

Pate's second round included seven birdies to complement nine pars with just a pair of bogeys. The fifth-year finished at 3-under 33 over the back nine and was 2-under 34 over the front nine holes. Albers remained one of Little Rock's most consistent golfers, posting 14 pars with a birdie on 14 with just three bogeys over round two. His 26 pars through two rounds is tied for first among the 63-player field.
