LITTLE ROCK - The Little Rock swimming and diving team was
picked to finish sixth in the annual Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) preseason poll, one spot higher than the Trojans' finish at the 2020 MVC Championships. Led by head coach
Amy Burgess and first-year assistant coach
Matthew Gearing, Little Rock is set to begin their season with a home tri-meet on January 30.

Out of the eight individual scorers at last year's championship meet, only one graduated. Returning A finalists and MVC Honorable Mention honorees include
Carolyn Godwin,
Annya Grom, and
Fer Moussier while returning B finalists include
Regan Lawrence,
Palmer Ristroph,
Asmalia Redzuan, and
Sierra Thain.
There are 20 returners on #LittleRocksTeam with 10 members currently on the team's
Top Five Performances list. Most notably, two rising sophomores each hold program records. Grom holds the Little Rock 100 breaststroke record (1:03.74) while Moussier holds the Little Rock 200 butterfly mark (2:03.93). Also in the books is Lawrence, a member of the record-holding 200 free relay set in 2019 (1:34.04). A large class of 12 freshmen will be in contention to both help the Trojans score at conference as well as aim for a spot in the program records.
