Six Home Events Highlight Trojan Slate

"Having several events, including a tournament here at the Jack, is great for our fans," said head coach Neil Erisman. "There will be a lot of great wrestling at home that our team is excited for."

Those exciting home events this season, beginning with the Trojan Open tournament next month, include several Pac-12 conference duals, beginning with CSU-Bakersfield on Dec. 19, Cal Poly on Jan. 30, and Arizona State on Feb. 6.

The dual with the Sun Devils will be a benchmark for the Trojans, as nearly two years ago to the date marks Little Rock's first-ever conference matchup. Meanwhile, the Trojans took down CSU-Bakersfield on the road in their first Pac-12 win last year but will be looking for revenge against Cal Poly.

Little Rock will also host non-conference opponents Drexel on Nov. 27, Oklahoma State on Jan. 8, and Northern Illinois on Jan. 30. It will be the first meeting between Little Rock and Drexel, while NIU will make the trek to the Jack for the first time for the tri-dual with Cal Poly. Meanwhile, Oklahoma State has become a friendly rival after a pair of duals last season.

The away schedule for the Trojans may be even more challenging, going against a slew of top opponents. Little Rock's first dual of the season will be against Wisconsin as the DI portion of UW-LaCrosse's DI, DII, DIII Duals event on Nov. 12.

After a year of flexibility and changes, the Trojan wrestling team will now return to regular tournament formats as well, making appearances at the Cougar Invitational at SIUE on Dec. 4 as well as the Southern Scuffle on Jan. 1 to jumpstart the new year.

Little Rock will take a conference road swing on Jan. 13 and 15, visiting Oregon State before heading to Stanford. The next weekend on Jan. 21 and Jan. 23, the Trojans will take on App State and North Carolina, respectively, in another pair of rematches of the inaugural season. VMI will also be in attendance at App State to make the event a tri-dual for Little Rock.

The Trojans will make their way to Oklahoma for the first time on Feb. 4, while the last road trip will be to North Dakota State and South Dakota State on Feb. 11 and Feb. 13, respectively. While Little Rock has hosted SDSU twice now, it will be the first time the Trojans head north.

The Pac-12 Championships will begin postseason for the Little Rock wrestling team, looking to qualify for their second-straight NCAA Championships. The Trojans will battle their five other conference opponents in an all-day tournament, taking place on March 5 at Arizona State. Meanwhile, NCAAs will be held from March 17-19 in Detroit.

"We're ready to see a lot of great opponents throughout the course of the season," added Coach Erisman. "This is going to prepare us for the end of the year, including the Pac-12 Championships and Nationals. Our fans are going to love this schedule. Go Trojans!"
