Curry Releases Home-Heavy 2022 Trojan Baseball Schedule

Little Rock will play 32 home games at Gary Hogan Field in 2022

LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock head coach Chris Curry has announced the Trojans' 2022 baseball schedule, one which will give fans plenty of opportunities to see his team take the field at Gary Hogan Field. The 53-game slate consists of 32 home games, the most since the 2010 season, with home Sun Belt series against App State, UT Arlington, Arkansas State, ULM and Georgia Southern.

2022 Little Rock Baseball Schedule

"With the 32 home games, as well as the number of games on ESPN+ both at home and on the road, this will be a record-breaking season as far as the number of opportunities fans will have to see our team play," Curry said. "We have a loaded schedule with teams such as Arkansas and Louisiana Tech in non-conference, as well as an always challenging Sun Belt schedule. We get to host Arkansas State at home, as well as our Governor's I-40 series against Central Arkansas, and feel this will be a schedule that will prepare us for the postseason and match up with some of the best teams in college baseball."

2022 Trojan Baseball Schedule

The schedule opens with four-straight weekend series at Gary Hogan Field, including a health dose of teams from the Land of Lincoln, taking on Eastern Illinois (Feb. 18-20), Western Illinois (Feb. 25-27) and Southern Illinois (Mar. 4-6).

The first of the three-game series against Central Arkansas takes place in Conway on March 8, followed by a weekend series against North Alabama (Mar. 11-13) and back-to-back midweek meetings with Belmont (Mar. 15) and Oral Roberts (Mar. 16), meaning the Trojans won't leave the state of Arkansas for the first month of the season.

The first real road trip of the year opens up Sun Belt play as Little Rock heads to Georgia State (Mar. 18-20) before returning to Gary Hogan Field the following weekend to face App State (Mar. 25-27). Little Rock then closes out the month of March with a midweek trip to Fayetteville, taking on Arkansas March 29-30 at Baum-Walker Stadium.

The longest road trip of the year continues to start the month of April as Little Rock heads to Troy for the battle of Trojans (Apr. 1-3), with the six-game stretch concluding with a Tuesday afternoon game at UA-Pine Bluff (Apr. 5).

Little Rock then returns to Gary Hogan Field for eight-straight games, beginning with a weekend series against UT Arlington (Apr. 8-10). Central Arkansas makes its yearly trip to Little Rock on April 12 before the Trojans resume the rivalry with Arkansas State (Apr. 14-16). The first game of a home-and-home series with Louisiana Tech closes the homestand on April 19.

A trip to Texas then awaits the Trojans, facing Texas State in San Marcos (Apr. 22-24) with the return trip to Louisiana Tech on April 26 in Ruston. Little Rock then returns home for four-straight, taking on ULM (Apr. 29-May 1) and hosting UA-Pine Bluff (May 3) to open the final month of the regular season.

The longest road trip mileage-wise of the season takes Little Rock to Coastal Carolina for a weekend series (May 6-8) before returning to Gary Hogan Field to welcome Georgia Southern (May 13-15) for the first time since 2018. The third and final game of the Governor's I-40 Showdown against Central Arkansas will be on May 17 before the Trojans head to Lafayette for the final weekend of the regular season, taking on Louisiana May 19-21.

Once again, the Sun Belt Tournament will be held in Montgomery, Alabama, being held May 25-29 at Riverwalk Stadium, the home of the Montgomery Biscuits.
