Pate Shoots Even As Trojans Tied for Ninth at George Hannon

Logan Pate is tied for 14th individually after two rounds

AUSTIN, Texas – Little Rock is tied for ninth after the opening two rounds of the George Hannon Intercollegiate after posting an 8-over 586 through the first two rounds Monday afternoon. The Trojans posted a 5-over 289 in round one, followed by a 13-over 297 in round two.

Playing against one of the most competitive fields of the seasons, Little Rock opened the event with a 5-over 289 in the morning round, sitting in seventh. The charge was led by Logan Pate, who registered a 2-under 69 to sit tied for sixth in the individual standings. Magnus Lomholt was also among the individual top-20 with an even-par 71, tied for 17th individually.
 
Round two saw Little Rock slip two spots as the Trojans added eight shots to their opening round total. Pate and Nico Horder registered the low scores of the afternoon rounds as the duo each posted a 2-over 73 with Lomholt right behind at 3-over 74.
 
Through two rounds, Pate leads the Trojans with an even-par 142 (69-73), tied for 14th in the individual standings. Lomholt ranks second on the scorecard at 3-over 145 (71-74), tied for 30th, followed by Horder at 6-over 148 (75-73). Ryan McNelis (9-over 151, 74-77) and Anton Albers (12-over 154, 76-78) round out the Little Rock competitors.
 
Little Rock enters Tuesday's final round tied with Florida Alantic for ninth, two shots better than 31st-ranked Baylor in 11th (20-over 588). The Trojans are four shots back of Big 12 foes West Virginia and Kansas State, both of which shot a 14-over 582 on Monday.
 
Second-ranked Oklahoma holds the team lead at 13-under 555, two shots better than 12th-ranked Texas at 11-under 557. 11th-ranked Oklahoma State (5-under 563) is third with 19th-ranked Texas Tech (Even-par 568), 27th-ranked New Mexico (5-over 573) and 46th-ranked TCU (8-over 576) rounding out the top-six.
 
Little Rock will be among the first wave of golfers to tee off from hole 10 on Tuesday morning, playing with Baylor and New Mexico State. The Trojans will begin with Albers' 8:30 a.m. tee time, leading up to Pate getting underway at 9:06 a.m. Live scoring is available at GolfStat.com.
