WEST POINT, Miss. – Little Rock posts an 8-over 296 in the opening round of the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship, sitting tied for 12th after 18 holes.

Logan Pate was the top finisher for the Trojans on the day, shooting a 2-under 70 to sit tied for eighth among the individual standings. Pate was even par through nine starting on hole 10, including an eagle on the par-five 15th, then went 2-under over the front nine with birdies on two of his final three holes.
Anton Albers and
Nico Horder both shot a 1-over 73 as the duo is tied for 33rd individually. Albers was 2-over over the back nine before a 1-under 35 on the front while Horder went 1-over on 10-18 and was even over the front nine.
Magnus Lomholt (8-over 80) and
Ryan McNelis (10-over 82) closed out the Little Rock scorecard.
Little Rock enters Saturday's second round tied with Ole Miss at 8-over 296, one shot better than 14th-place Alabama at 9-over 297. The Trojans and Rebels are one shot behind 11th-place Southern Miss (7-over 295) and thee back of 10th-place Arkansas (5-over 293).
LSU holds the team lead at 7-under 281, two shots ahead of both Vanderbilt and Georgia at 5-under 283. Texas A&M (3-under 285) is fourth with Tennessee and East Tennessee State (2-under 286) and Mississippi State (1-under 287) all sitting under par through 18 holes.
Little Rock will be back on the course at 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning, playing with the Crimson Tide and a group of individuals. McNelis will get underway at 8:30 a.m., leading up to Pate's 9:10 a.m. tee time. Live scoring is available at
