WEST POINT, Miss. – Anton Albers notched another top-20 individual showing, helping Little Rock move up two spots over the final round of the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship. The Trojans finished 12th among the competitive field with an 11-over 875, including a 3-over 291 over the final round, the third-best round of the day.

Albers registered his second-straight 1-under 71 over Sunday's final round, finishing at 1-under 215 and in a tie for 16th among the individual field. The junior ended the final round with 13 pars and three birdies, registering his 10th round of par-or-better this season, lowering his season scoring average to 71.85.
Nico Horder was the number two finisher for the Trojans with a 6-over 222, tying for 58th overall. Horder carded a 4-over 76 over the final round, finishing one shot better than teammate Magnus Lomhot's 7-over 223, registering a 1-over 73 in round three.
Logan Pate finished at 8-over 224, recovering from a rough round two to shoot a 2-over 74, with
Ryan McNelis rounding out the Trojan scorecard 13-over 229, matching Lomholt with a 1-over 73 Sunday afternoon.
Albers once again continued to be solid among the par-five holes, finishing at 8-under for the tournament and ranking second among the 84-player field. As a team, Little Rock was 17-under on the par-fives, tied for third among the field, as Albers was also 1-under on the par-threes while McNelis finished even.
Entering the day in 14th, Little Rock and the rest of the field had to wait out a weather delay in the morning, finally getting on the course with a noon shotgun start. The Trojans took advantage to move up two spots in the team rankings, finishing four shots better than Kansas State (15-over 879) and five shots better than Southern Miss (16-over 880), sitting three shots behind 11th-place Alabama (8-over 872).
The SEC dominated the top half of the team standings as the top-seven teams were all conference members, led by Georgia who captured the team championship at 20-under 844. Host Mississippi State and Texas A&M tied for second at 10-under 854 with Vanderbilt and Tennessee tying for fourth at 3-under 861. Arkansas and LSU tied for sixth, shooting 2-under 862.
Little Rock will now have time to prepare for the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Championships, having nearly a month off before the league tournament. The Trojans will have somewhat of a home course advantage as the championship will be held at Mystic Creek Golf Club in El Dorado, a course Little Rock plays a handful of times a year.
