Little Rock is one of 14 teams competing in this week's event in Dallas and is one of two Sun Belt schools participating, joined by UT Arlington. Â
Trojans at Trinity Forest
Little Rock returns to Trinity Forest Golf Club for the third-straight year and has had success at the club, finishing fifth in 2019 and sixth in 2018. The Trojans have been consistent on the course, firing a 6-under 846 last season and a 7-under 845 in 2018. Former Trojan Justin Warren left his mark on the event in 2018, tying for the second-lowest round with a 64 and sits third all-time in individual scoring with an 11-under 202 that same year, both of which are program records.
Â
Last Time Out
Anton Albers captured the 2021 Individual Spring Kickoff at Las Colinas Country Club on February 8, posting a 1-under 141 in the one-day tournament. Albers placed first among the 52-player field, besting three competitors by one stroke to take the title. He was one of four Trojans to finish among the top-20, joined by
Logan Pate and
Ryan McNelis, who tied for 10th at 3-over 145, and
Marcel Rauch, who tied for 17th at 4-over 146.
Â
Come Back to Texas
Little Rock will get quite familiar with the drive on I-40 between Little Rock and the state of Texas as the Trojans are scheduled to play three-straight spring tournaments in the Lone Star state. Having to adjust the schedule due to COVID regulations, Little Rock is now scheduled to compete in at this week's Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas (Mar. 7-9) and the George Hannon Intercollegiate in Austin (Mar. 15-16) following the individual tournament in the DFW Metroplex on March 8.
