Three Things to Know
- Soaring High
One of the key events to watch will be the men's high jump, set for 11 a.m. Little Rock's Johnathan Jones leads the field, ranking 29th in the nation and second in the Sun Belt Conference while Christian Matamoros is ranked eighth in the Sun Belt.
- Can She Go 3-for-3?
Through two outdoor weeks of competition this year, Mia Dunning has recorded wins both times. She will put her winning streak to the test this weekend as she competes in both the shot put (where she ranks 39th in the region) and the hammer throw (where she ranks fifth in the Sun Belt and 13th in the region).
- Don't Blink
Or you might miss Cameron Jackson and Cogan DeRousselle. Jackson was the Sun Belt's Men's Freshman of the Year Indoors and will be in the 100m and 200m dashes. DeRousselle, who ranks seventh in the Sun Belt in the 200m dash, will be in both of those races as well as the 110m hurdles.
