LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – With 10 returners on a team that won five of its last six games and advanced to the Sun Belt Tournament semifinals last fall, Little Rock's Volleyball team is set to start the 2021 season this weekend by competing in the Arkansas Classic in Fayetteville.

Three Things to Know
- All-Conference Players Return
Laura Jansen (First Team, All-SBC Tournament) and Leigh Maher (Second Team, Newcomer of the Year) both received Sun Belt accolades following standout seasons last year. Both Trojans return for their senior season and are excited to lead Little Rock's Team in the opening weekend.
- Finally in their Natural State
It's good to see the faces of Victoria Cavalcanti and Livia Kimura on the Little Rock sideline this year. The two native Brazilians were on the Trojan roster last season but were unable to enter the country due to various international travel regulations put in place by the United States government last fall due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Close, But No Cigar
The story of the 2020 season for Little Rock was close sets. In 20 matches last year, the Trojans played in 22 sets that were determined by two points. In 13 of those 22 sets, extra points were required to determine a set winner. With another year of experience on its roster, Little Rock looks to close out sets in a more decided fashion this season.
