CHOUDRANT, La. – Magnus Lomholt tied the ninth-lowest tournament score in program history at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate, shooting an 8-under 208 to finish third among the 119-player field at Squire Creek Country Club. It is the best individual finish of Lomholt's career, finishing five shots off the individual lead.

Lomholt paced a Trojan squad that finished fifth among the 21-team field in northern Louisiana, posting a 2-under 862 over the three-day event. Little Rock notched a 7-over 295 in round three, slipping one spot but finishing as one of just five teams to finish the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate under par.
Entering Tuesday's final round at 6-under 138 following his career-low 68 on Monday, Lomholt continued his hot start to the season with a 2-under 70 over the final 18 holes to post the 8-under 208. It is tied for the third-lowest vs. par tournament in program history behind the 11-under performances by Justin Warren in 2018 and Matias Calderon in 2013, tied with Daniel Fox's 8-under 208 at the ULM Intercollegiate.
Lomholt ended the season-opening event with 38 pars, tied for fifth among the field, and 12 birdies, ranking tied for third among all players on both par three (1-under) and par-four (2-under) holes. His 208 was two shots better than his previous-best of 210 at last year's Little Rock Invitational where he tied for fourth in the individual standings.

Marcel Rauch and
Jansen Smith all tied for 33rd overall with a 2-over 218 over the three-day event. Jansen had the low round of the day for Little Rock with a 1-over 73 while Archie carded a 3-over 75 and Rauch finished with a 5-over 77.
Nico Horder rounded out the Little Rock competitors with a 13-over 229, posting a 6-over 78 in round three.
Ryan McNelis finished at 12-over 228 competing as an individual, including a 2-over 74 in round three.
As a team, Little Rock tied with Middle Tennessee for the most pars among the 21-team field with 170, finishing with 47 birdies and a pair of eagles. The Trojans ranked third among the field in par-four scoring at 14-over, going 12-over on par-three holes and 15-under on par-fives.
Little Rock closed out the first event of the season with a three shot edge on sixth-place ULM (1-over 865) as the Trojans were the top Sun Belt finisher at Squire Creek. The 7-over 295 over the final 18 holes slipped Little Rock to fifth, finishing eight shots back of fourth-place Louisiana Tech (10-under 854).
LSU captured the team title with a 13-under 275 over the final round, posting aa 23-under 841 and besting UT San Antonio (16-under 848) by seven shots. Southern Miss (13-under 851) placed third with the Bulldogs and Trojans rounding out the top-five.
Little Rock returns to action in early October, heading to Texas to compete at the Trinity Forest Invitational. Hosted by SMU, the three-day event will be held October 4-6 at Trinity Forest Golf Club.
