LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Legendary coach
Joe Foley has unveiled another challenging schedule for the Trojans as Little Rock will face five NCAA Tournament opponents from last year including two that advanced to the Sweet 16.
In all the Trojans will face five postseason squads, five Power 5 teams, three opponents ranked at the end of last season and eight teams that finished last year with a .500 record or better.
The season gets underway on Nov. 9 when Little Rock will welcome Missouri State to the Jack Stephens Center. The Bears went 23-3 last season, advanced to the Sweet 16 and finished the year ranked No. 14. Little Rock follows that up with a trip to Nashville to face Vanderbilt in a return game of the Trojans' 82-74 win over the Commodores last year.
Three straight home games await Little Rock after that, a stretch that wraps up with Auburn visiting the Jack Stephens Center for the first time.
The Maroon and Silver will face Abilene Christian and Oral Roberts in ORU's tournament over Thanksgiving weekend and then will head to College Station, Texas to face Texas A&M. Last year the Aggies won the SEC regular season title, advanced to the Sweet 16 and finished the year ranked No. 10.
Little Rock returns home to host Central Arkansas on Dec. 4 in the Governor's I-40 Showdown presented by Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield before taking an eight-day break to focus on final exams.
The team returns to action on Dec. 12 with a trip to Bud Walton Arena to face the Razorbacks, a team that edged Little Rock, 80-70, last year at the Jack Stephens Center. Arkansas finished the season ranked 23
rd and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
Alabama is another team that will make its first-ever trip to the Jack Stephens Center when the Crimson Tide visit on Dec. 16. Bama went 17-10 last season and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Little Rock rounds out the non-conference schedule in the Tulane Classic on Dec. 20-21 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Trojans will face Bradley and then either Tulane or Texas Southern in the four-team bracketed tournament.
Season tickets for the 2021-22 season are currently on sale with ticket memberships as low as $150. Fans that purchase their season tickets by Aug. 1 get free popcorn at every game. Season ticket members also get 25% off SpectacuaLR tickets, a season parking pass and a 25% off coupon to the Trojan Armory Team Store at the Jack Stephens Center, in addition to other benefits.
Little Rock season ticket holders will be allowed to return to their previously reserved seat locations this year after COVID protocols limited attendance at all Little Rock events last season.
