LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – With a new season just a few months away Little Rock Head Coach Chris Curry has announced the Trojans' 2023 baseball schedule. The 56-game slate is the maximum number allowed by the NCAA and consists of 32 home games which matches the number of home games from the 2022 season. In its inaugural Ohio Valley Conference season, Little Rock will host series against Lindenwood, UT Martin, SIU-Edwardsville and Tennessee Tech.

2023 Little Rock Baseball Schedule

"We have another great schedule for the Little Rock baseball fans," Curry said. "With 32 home games and our ESPN+ package, the 2023 season will be a great opportunity for fans to follow the Trojans very closely. We are excited about the Ohio Valley Conference slate and expect it to be challenging. Our non-conference opponents consist of the defending national champions and a trip to Fayetteville along with our in-state rivalries from past years. With 25 new players on our team, we are excited to embrace the challenge of this schedule and think it will be one that can set us up for a post-season run."

On March 7, the first Governor's I-40 Showdown of the season will take place as Central Arkansas will travel to the Capital City for a rivalry game. The final weekend series of the homestand will be against Grambling (Mar. 10-12) and will officially end with a midweek game versus Memphis (Mar. 14)

Little Rock will not have to leave the Natural State to play until going on a brief road trip for a weekend at Northwestern State (Mar. 17-19). Following that series, Little Rock will finish up the home and home midweek set of games at Memphis (Mar. 21) before coming back to Gary Hogan to begin OVC play.

The Ohio Valley schedule will begin with a visit from Lindenwood (Mar. 24-26) who is in its first year competing at the Division I level. The first OVC road series follows and will be at SEMO (Mar. 31- Apr. 2). Little Rock has won three of the last four meetings between the two programs dating back to 2012. The Trojans will then take a trip to Louisiana to play old conference foe ULM (Apr. 4).

A home series against the Skyhawks of UT Martin (Apr. 6-8) will take place before Little Rock takes the first of its two extended road trips on the season. The journey will begin with a pair of in-state matchups in Fayetteville against Arkansas (Apr. 11-12). It will continue at Eastern Illinois (Apr. 14-16) a team that has visited Gary Hogan each of the past two years and is now a fellow conference member.

The conclusion of a home and home series against ULM (Apr. 19) follows the trip and a visit from SIUE (Apr. 21-23) will mark the beginning of the second half of OVC play. Little Rock will then stay in-state with a trip to UCA (Apr. 25) and a visit from Arkansas State (Apr. 26) the next day before hosting New Orleans (Apr. 28-30) to round out April.

Little Rock will then head to Oxford, Mississippi to begin the final month of the regular season at defending national champion Ole Miss on May 2. The two teams will revive their yearly competition after playing one another at least once a year from 2017-2021, excluding 2020 due to shortened COVID season. The Trojans will remain on the road with another OVC matchup, this time at Southern Indiana (May 5-7) before wrapping up the road trip with a game at Arkansas State on May 9.

The final games of the year at Gary Hogan will be against a visiting Tennessee Tech (May 12-14). The Trojans will round out regular season play with a trip to Morehead State (May 18-20), it will be the first time the two programs have ever faced off on the diamond.
