BRENTWOOD, TENN. – Little Rock student-athletes
Trey Hill and Madison Thomas have been named recipients of the Ohio Valley Conference Community Service Award, the league announced Monday afternoon.
The OVC Community Service Award recognizes student-athletes league wide who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to serving their communities while excelling in their academic and athletic pursuits.
"We are incredibly proud of Trey and Madison for earning this recognition from the Ohio Valley Conference," said
Natalie Hawkins, Little Rock's Associate AD for Student-Athlete Support Services. "Both have consistently demonstrated what it means to be servant leaders. Their commitment to making a positive impact in the community reflects the values of Little Rock Athletics and serves as an example for their fellow students."
Hill, a senior baseball student-athlete from Fayetteville, Arkansas, has been a fixture in community service efforts throughout his Trojan career. Through his involvement with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, where he served as a baseball small group leader from 2022-25, Hill has dedicated countless hours to serving youth and families across central Arkansas.
Over the past four years, Hill has participated in numerous service initiatives, including the Junior Deputy Fall Fun Ball, Baker Elementary's car line and reading program, Thanksgiving events at Baker Elementary, the Arkansas Food Bank, Arkansas Children's Hospital, Miracle League baseball events for children with special needs, Feed Arkansas Kids through Rock Creek Church and the Little Rock Marathon. He has also volunteered with elementary school clubs and various campus and community outreach events.
Thomas, a sophomore track and field student-athlete from Humble, Texas, has established herself as a leader in service both on campus and throughout the Little Rock community. Over the past two years, she has volunteered with the University Garden, Taste of Little Rock, Little Rock Discover Days and the College Hunger Summit.
Thomas has also been actively involved in the Chancellor's Leadership Corps for the past two years and currently serves as a member of the Chancellor's Leadership Corps Scholar Squad, helping support leadership development and community engagement initiatives across campus.
Together, Hill and Thomas embody the values of Little Rock Athletics through their dedication to service, leadership and community involvement. Their efforts have positively impacted countless individuals throughout the region while representing the Trojans with distinction.
The Ohio Valley Conference Community Service Award honors student-athletes who make meaningful contributions beyond competition, and both Hill and Thomas have demonstrated a sustained commitment to making a difference in their communities throughout their time at Little Rock.
