Three Things to Know
- Go the Distance
Trojan middle distance and distance runners will see most of the action this weekend with a majority of the Little Rock entries coming in the 800m; ,1500m; 5,000m and 3,000m steeplechase races. Keila Finnestad and Ariana Garcia both posted some personal best times in Little Rock last weekend and look to improve upon that in Jonesboro.
- And Here is the Steeple
Last weekend in Little Rock, Lindsey Hutcheson ran a personal best time of 11:43.19 in the 3,000m steeplechase in a crowded field, a time that ranks sixth in the Sun Belt Conference. Both she and Aaron Soltmann on the men's side will test their season-best times against a handful of Red Wolves runners that are among the league leaders in the event.
- A Way Too Early Preview
The Ohio Valley Conference's UT Martin is scheduled to compete at the meet in Jonesboro this weekend, giving the Trojans a very early preview of what next year's competition will look like. Little Rock will officially become fully-fledged members of the OVC on July 1.
