LITTLE ROCK - The Little Rock wrestling team was honored as a 2022 DI Scholar All-America Team by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) on Friday, while
Jaylen Carson and
Chase Tebbets were selected as Individual Scholar All-Americans to top off an incredible year of grit and growth for the Trojans.

To be eligible to be nominated as an Individual Scholar All-American, wrestlers must have a 3.5 cumulative grade-point-average and have been a participant at their conference's qualifying tournament. Tebbets represented Little Rock at 157 pounds, boasting a perfect 4.00 GPA in Applied Communications, while Carson competed at 133 pounds, checking in with a 3.56 GPA. They are the second and third Trojans to receive the recognition, as
Paul Bianchi earned Individual Scholar All-American honors last season.
To be under consideration for the Scholar All-America Team honor, the program must report the 10 student-athletes that wrestled at their conference's qualifying tournament, with the addition of two additional student-athletes that wrestled in at least one date of competition. The 12 total Trojans, listed below, teamed up for a cumulative 3.338 GPA in their first-ever team honor. Little Rock ranks 27 out of the 30 top teams in the country that were honored, one of just two Pac-12 teams on the list.
