JONESBORO, Arkansas — The Little Rock women's golf team turned in their lowest round in almost 10 years and second-lowest in program history Monday, putting them in second place after two rounds at the Lady Red Wolves Classic.
The Trojans were 11
th after the opening round but vaulted nine spots with a round of 284, resting two strokes ahead of Western Kentucky and trailing only host Arkansas State.

Anna Dawson, the tournament's overall leader thru two rounds, Little Rock improved by 23 strokes from the first to second round. The last time the program had a round this low was during the 2015-16 season when they posted a score of 285 at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate. The program record is 280, set back in 2008-09.
Dawson fired a 69 in the opening round and a 71 in the second for a 4-under 140. She currently has a three-stroke lead on the next closest golfer. Her opening round consisted of five birdies, including three straight on holes 8-10. She birdied two more holes in the second round.
Katja Mueller moved up 18 spots into a tie for 28
th with rounds of 78 and 72 for a 6-over 150.
Viktoria Krnacova is also in that tie for 28
th with equal rounds of 75.
Eleonore Aernouts is one stroke back of them with a 7-over 151 after improving on her opening round of 82 with a 69 in the second.
Fehild Graesel improved by nine stokes from 81 to 72 and finished the first day with a 9-over 153.
Agatha Alesson shot a 79 and 76 for a two-round total of 11-over 155.
