LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Little Rock Athletic Department's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has named their Sportsmanship Student-Athletes of the Month. Junior
Lauren Pieniazkiewicz, a member of the swimming and diving team, and senior
Dion Murombe, a member of the track and field team, earned the honor for November.
SAAC sent out a form throughout the month of November to all student-athletes to vote on the the teammate that had the best sportsmanship.
Lauren Pieniazkiewicz, Swimming & Diving
- She is constantly motivating everyone around her and truly cares for her teammate's performance in and out of the pool. She will do anything to make sure you are hyped up and ready to go no matter what!!
- Lauren is a light to be around in and out of the pool. She is always pushing her teammates at practice with a great attitude. She is always there at others sporting events as well!
Dion Murombe, Track & Field
- Very supportive of all teams and always encouraging people to be the best version of themselves.
- The energy he brings in unmatched!! Love him!
- Set up event attendance for other sporting events
- Always has a positive mentality and pushes the team to have one as well.
Little Rock's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on their experience. These student-athletes also offer input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives on Little Rock's campus. Members of Little Rock's SAAC have the opportunity to address issues affecting student-athletes at their institution or in their conference; furthermore, members have the opportunity to offer input on issues that may be national in scope.
Through the grass-roots efforts of the campus SAACs communicating with the conference SAACs, and the conference SAACs communicating with the national SAAC, student-athletes have the opportunity to change the face of intercollegiate athletics.
