LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock gets ready to pursue a second-straight conference title, opening up the spring portion of it 2022-23 season in the desert southwest, competing in the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate in Henderson, Nevada.

Tournament Information
The 2023 Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate will be 54-hole event held Monday, February 27 through Wednesday, March 1 at Reflection Bay Golf Club, a par-72, 7,204-yard course in Henderson, Nevada. The tournament will play 18 holes each day, getting underway with tee times starting at 9:10 a.m. CT. Round one will have Little Rock getting underway in the fourth wave, teeing off starting at 11:40 a.m. CT and playing with Middle Tennessee and Stetson. Live scoring is available at

Tournament Field
Little Rock is one of 15 teams competing in this year's event, joined by fellow Natural State foes Arkansas State and Central Arkansas and former Sun Belt foe Louisiana as the Ragin' Cajuns and Red Wolves will serve as the co-hosts. Little Rock is the highest rated team in the field in the latest GolfStat rankings, sitting at 42nd nationally, as the Trojans are one of nine teams among the GolfStat top-100, joined by Long Beach State (No. 54), Stetson (No. 67), Middle Tennessee (No. 79), South Florida (No. 83), Michigan (No. 85), Arkansas State (No. 86), Kentucky (No. 92) and New Mexico State (No. 98).

Back in the Desert
Little Rock will look for another productive week at Reflection Bay as the Trojans notched a runner-up showing at last year's event with a 17-under 847, including a 12-under 276 in round three.
Anton Albers notched a runner-up showing individually, carding a 13-under 203 with a pair of rounds in the 60s, while
Jansen Smith placed fifth with an 8-under 208 and
Archie Smith finished 15th with a 3-under 213.

Last Time Out
Little Rock closed out the fall season with a sixth-place showing at its host Little Rock Invitational at Chenal Country Club. Playing in windy and chilly conditions, Little Rock carded a 16-over 880, led by
Archie Smith tying for eighth with an even-par 216.
Magnus Lomholt was the other Trojan to finish in the top-20, tying for 19th at 3-over 219.

Preseason Favorites
Heading into the spring season, Little Rock will have a target on its back as the preseason favorites in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Trojans garnered eight of the nine first place votes and registered 64 total points, seven ahead of second-place Tennessee Tech (57 points) and 15 better than third-place SIU Edwardsville (49 points).

Fall Recap
Little Rock's men enter the spring ranked 39th nationally by GolfWeek and 43rd by GolfStat after a strong fall season. The Trojans posted a team scoring average of 285.73 with a pair of tournament championships and another runner-up showing. Little Rock won both the Olympic Club Intercollegiate and the Trinity Forest Invitational, finishing second at the Windon Memorial Classic as the team combined for 34 rounds of par-or-better.

Individually, Little Rock was led byÂ

Jansen Smith as the duo posted scoring averages of 71.40 and 71.60, respectively. The duo each earned OVC Golfer of the Week honors in the fall with Cristoni being named the league's Golfer of the Month for September. Cristoni is ranked 161st nationally with Smith sitting at number 175 while Little Rock is also expecting a strong spring fromÂ
Anton Albers, the reigning Sun Belt Golfer of the Year and honorable mention All-American.
