HENDERSON, Nevada – All five Trojans on the Little Rock scorecard shot under par in the first round of the spring season as Little Rock sits tied for second at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate. The Trojans posted a 9-under 279 in round one, one shot off the team lead.

The effort was led by a 3-under 69 from both
Archie Smith and
Jansen Smith as the duo is tied for sixth in the individual standings. Archie posted a 2-under 34 over the front nine with five birdies and a par while Jansen was solid throughout the opening 18 holes, sitting with three birdies and 15 pars and no bogeys.
Nico Hoder is tied for 11th after shooting a 1-under 70, registering three birdies and 14 pars on the day, one shot better than both
Anton Albers and
Magnus Lomholt's 1-under 71, tied for 22nd. Albers opened the day with a double bogey, but recovered with birdies on four of the next eight holes while Lomholt tallied five birdies and 10 pars on holes three through 17.
Matteo Cristoni also finished with a 2-over 74 through the opening 18 holes competing as an individual, tied for 48th in the individual standings.
Little Rock enters Tuesday's second round one shot back of Long Beach State, who first among the 15-team field at 10-under 278. The Trojans are tied with Michigan for second, four shots better than fourth-place New Mexico State (5-under 283) and eight shots better than a three-way tie for fifth between Kentucky, Louisiana and UAB (1-under 287).
Little Rock will tee off in the final wave in Tuesday's second round, playing with Michigan and Long Beach State in the round two groupings. The round gets underway with Lomholt's 12:30 p.m. CT tee time, leading up to
