LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Following four standout years where she became a leader of her peers both on and off the court, Little Rock forward
Angelique Francis has signed a professional contract to play overseas beginning immediately.

Making the announcement on social media Thursday, Francis is heading to Australia to play for the Melbourne Tigers of the NBL1 South league, joining former teammate Nikki Metcalfe. Francis announced she will be completing her undergraduate coursework online and will still graduate in May.

Recently receiving the Pat Summitt Most Courageous Award from the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) in Dallas at the Women's Final Four, Francis wrapped up her four years in Little Rock by leading the Trojans to a regular season championship in their first year as members of the Ohio Valley Conference.

She concluded her collegiate career by averaging 4.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game while shooting 50.9% from the field over the course of her career. Francis grabbed 201 offensive rebounds over her four years, a mark that ranks seventh in school history.

Little Rock finished the season 21-11 (17-1 Ohio Valley Conference) and advanced to the WNIT, marking the program's 12
th postseason appearance in the past 16 years.
