LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock Athletics has announced that Director of Golf and Men's Head Golf Coach Jake Harrington has stepped down to accept the Men's Head Golf Coach position at the University of New Mexico.
"I am very appreciative of Coach Harrington and all he has done for the Trojan Golf program," said Little Rock Director of Athletics George Lee. "He elevated the program to new heights and I wish him all the best moving forward."
Harrington recently completed his 11th season as Men's Head Coach, helping the Trojans grow into one of the top teams nationally as well as rewrite the men's golf record books.
During Harrington's tenure in Little Rock, the Trojans won back-to-back conference championships (2022, 2023) as both a member of the Sun Belt and OVC conferences. The program also made their first-ever NCAA Championship appearance (2021) and qualified for each of the last three NCAA Regionals (2021, 2022, 2023). Little Rock ended the 2022-23 season with a team scoring average of 286.59, surpassing the previous program record off 286.97 set during the 2018-19 season.
A national search for a permanent replacement will begin immediately.
