CINCINNATI, Ohio — The Little Rock Men's Golf team overcame a tough opening day at the Bearcat Invitational to improve six spots on the second and final day and finish tied for eighth overall at Coldstream Country Club.

Little Rock played 36 holes Sunday, sitting in a tie for 10
th after the first 18 with a team score of 288, then falling to 14
th at the conclusion of the day with a 295 during the second round. However, the Trojans bounced back in a big way Monday, improving by 15 strokes for a score of 280 and finishing with an 11-over-863.

Archie Smith and
Rhett South led the rebound, finishing tied for 18
th overall with a three-round total of 1-over-214. Smith was 4-under Sunday with a round of 67 while South shot a 2-under-69.
Jansen Smith fired three equal rounds of 1-over-72 for a total of 3-over-216 and a finish of 30
th.
Phisher Phillips (6-over-219) finished 53
rd.

The Trojans will head to Evanston, Ill. This weekend to compete at The Windon Memorial, hosted by Northwestern University, on Sept. 25-26.
