SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Jansen Smith's 3-under 68 tied him for 23rd while leading the Trojans to be tied at eighth place on the first day of the Mirabel Maui Jim Intercollegiate Friday. The Trojans shot a 5-under 279 on the day.

Smith recorded five birdies and one eagle, that was on par 4, to complete the first round.
Rhett South and
Matteo Cristoni both recorded a 1-under 70 on the day to finish tied for 32nd.
Archie Smith went even with 71 for a tied for 44th place position, while Josh McNulty finished tied for 53rd with a 1-overr 72.
