HENDERSON, Nevada — The Little Rock men's golf team settled for a seventh-place finish after shooting an ever par (288) in the final round of the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate at Reflection Bay Golf Club.

The Trojans fell five spots from their Day 2 finish, which had them tied for second and just one stroke off the lead. But the team combined for more than 20 bogeys and a pair of double bogeys in the final round.
Little Rock finished with a three-day score of 277-290-288 for a total of 9-under (855). Virginia Commonwealth took the team title with a 20-under (844), followed by runner-up South Florida at 18-under (846). Long Beach State and Arkansas State tied for third, Kansas City and Stetson tied for fifth and the Trojans tied for seventh with North Texas. Santa Clara and Texas State rounded out the Top 10.
Matteo Cristoni led the Trojans with a Top 10 finish (tied for ninth) with a three-day total of 2-under (211). His final round included five birdies and an eagle on the ninth hole.
Jansen Smith,
Rhett South, and
Archie Smith all finished tied for 47
th with a tournament total of 1-over (217).
Magnus Lomholt tied for 58
th after a final round of 2-under, giving him a three-day total of 2-over (218).
South struggled early in the final day with five bogeys in the front nine but rebounded nicely to birdie four holes on the back half.
Jansen Smith hit three birdies but also bogeyed five holes and had a double bogey.
Archie Smith's final round included an eagle and three birdies, but also seven bogeys and one double. Lomholt totaled four birdies in his final round.
