Little Rock Goes 1-1 In Midweek Games To Stay Above .500

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 LITTLE ROCK- After a back-to-back showing against ULM Tuesday and UAPB Wednesday, Little Rock maintains a 1 game cushion over .500. Trojans fell to ULM 1-11, but bounce back to beat UAPB 3-2.

Tuesday's game saw a hot start from the Warhawks after hitting a home run on the first pitch thrown. After that, the Warhawks would post a 4-run inning. The Trojans struggled to find their offensive stride after that with the lone run coming from Noah Brewe's solo home run in the bottom of the fifth. Little Rock would only manage to get 2 hits on the day. 

Wednesday's game started slow for the Trojans, but a solo home run in the top of the second from Skyler Trevino gave the early lead. With his 18th home run, Trevino moved to ninth all-time in career home runs as a Trojan. Little Rock would maintain a 1 run lead until the top of the fifth where Luke Pectol hit an RBI single to left field to bring Ben Harmon home extending the lead 2-0. In the next inning, Nico Baumbach scored off a passed ball to push the lead to 3-0. The Golden Lions found life in the bottom of the seventh with a 2-run rally, but it would not be enouugh as the game would end in favor of the Trojans 3-2. Austin Stubber was the pitcher of record improving to 3-0 and Jacob Weatherley earns his second save of the year moving him to a tie for seventh all-time in career saves at 9.
