Little Rock Finishes Historic Season Ranked No. 22 in Baseball America Top 25

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – After one of the most successful seasons in program history, Little Rock Baseball has earned a final national ranking of No. 22 in the Baseball America Top 25, released following the conclusion of the 2026 NCAA Division I baseball season.

The ranking marks the highest final national finish in program history and caps a remarkable year that saw the Trojans establish new standards for success on the national stage.

"Finishing the season ranked No. 22 by Baseball America is a tremendous honor for our program," head coach Chris Curry said. "Especially with the elite level of college baseball being played today, I think it is yet another indication of where our program has risen to and where we are headed. I'm proud of our coaches and our great players for what they accomplished this season, and I'm excited to keep moving forward next year."

Little Rock finished the season 39-28 and became one of the nation's biggest postseason stories. The Trojans captured their second consecutive Ohio Valley Conference Tournament championship, earned a second straight NCAA Regional appearance and advanced to the program's first NCAA Super Regional.

The postseason run included a historic sweep of the Hattiesburg Regional, where Little Rock defeated host Southern Miss, Jacksonville State twice and advanced to the Super Regional round for the first time in school history. Along the way, the Trojans set a school record with 39 victories and became just the second No. 4 regional seed to advance to a Super Regional since the NCAA Tournament adopted its current format.

Little Rock's postseason success followed another memorable conference tournament run. The Trojans won six games in five days to claim the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament championship, becoming back-to-back tournament champions and securing consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances for the first time in program history.

The 2026 season was filled with milestones. Head coach Chris Curry earned his 300th victory at Little Rock during the OVC Tournament, while the Trojans established a new program record for wins.

Little Rock closed the season ranked alongside some of college baseball's traditional powers, joining Oklahoma, North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Alabama, Ole Miss, Auburn, USC, UCLA, Florida State and Arkansas in Baseball America's final Top 25.

The ranking serves as another milestone for a program that has experienced unprecedented success under Curry. Over the last two seasons, the Trojans have won back-to-back conference tournament championships, earned consecutive NCAA Regional appearances, captured a regional championship and advanced to the first Super Regional in school history.

Little Rock was one of four new teams to appear in Baseball America's final rankings, joining Troy, Cal Poly and St. John's.
