BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - After the successful weekend at the Little Rock Invitational, four Little Rock Track and Field student-athletes received Ohio Valley Conference weekly honors released today.
Cogan DeRousselle,
Landri Schreier,
Matthew Tyeskie, and
Layloni Watson earned the honors.
DeRousselle was named OVC Male Track Athlete of the Week after placing second at the Little Rock Invitational in the 200m with a personal best time of 20.73. The Channelview, Texas-native is currently ranked 1st in the OVC, 16th in the South Central Region, and fourth in school records. He also was on the 4x100 relay team that placed third.
Schreier received OVC Female Track Athlete of the Week for the second time this season after winning the 100m at the Little Rock Invitational in 11.58. The Midlothian, Texas-native also placed third in the 200m and the 4x100m relay.
Tyeskie was named OVC Male Freshman of the Week after winning the 110m hurdles at the Little Rock Invitational. The Kilgore, Texas-native set the new facility record with a time of 14.10.
Watson received OVC Female Freshman of the Week after winning the triple jump at the Little Rock Invitational with a personal best distance of 41-5.25 (12.63m). The Temple, Texas-native set the school and facility record and is now ranked second in the OVC and ninth in the South Central Region. She also placed fifth in the long jump.
