BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - After a recording breaking weekend at the Bobcat Invitational,
Matthew Fox was named the Ohio Valley Conference Male Co-Track Athlete of the Week announced today by the conference. This is Fox's second OVC weekly honor this season and first for outdoor competition.
Fox placed second in the Decathlon with a personal best score of 7,236 points to set the Little Rock school record that he previously held.
In the long jump, the Ajax, Ontario, Canada-native placed fifth with a jump of 23-00.00 (7.01m). He was the top Trojan finisher in the shot put placing second with a personal best throw of 44-07.50 (13.60m) to rank him eighth in Little Rock records.
In the high jump, Fox tied for eighth with a distance of 6-01.25 (1.86m), while he placed third in the 100m with a time of 11.04. In the 400m, he placed seventh recording a time of 51.08.
In the discus, Fox placed fifth with a throw of 113-09 (34.69m). Fox was the top Trojan finisher in the pole vault tying for third with a personal best vault of 14-05.25 (4.40m) to rank him seventh in school records.
Fox won the javelin with a throw of 185-11 (56.67m), while he recorded a personal best time in the 100m hurdles in 14.77 for second place ranking him tied for seventh in school records.
In the 1500m, Fox placed 13th in 4:58.83.
