Smith finishes in Top 50 at NCAA Baton Rouge Regional

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana — Archie Smith wrapped up his trip to the NCAA Regional Championship with a third round of 74 (+2), placing him among the Top 50 at the Baton Rouge Regional held at the University Club and hosted by LSU.
 
FINAL RESULTS
 
Smith rebounded from a second round of 79 (+7) which moved him out of the Top 25, and turned in a round with just three bogeys, one double, and three birdies. He finishes with a three-round total of 226 (+10), to tie for 49^th place. Smith made 32 pars and seven birdies over three days.
 
While he won't be advancing to the national championships later this month, Smith closes out a big junior season that includes four Top 20 finishes, two finishes in the Top 10, an Ohio Valley Conference team title, an overall individual win at the OVC Championships, and his second All-OVC recognition.
