SOUTH BEND, Ind. – For the final time this fall, the Little Rock men's golf team is hitting the road. Following last week's trip to South Carolina, the Trojans head north to compete in the
Fighting Irish Invitational, hosted by
Notre Dame at the
Warren Golf Course, beginning
Monday.
"We're excited to head to Notre Dame," said head coach
Austin Eoff. "The Warren Course is fantastic, and this is a one-of-a-kind event against an elite field. The guys are recharged after South Carolina and ready to go on a golf course that should fit our team well. We had great success here last year and look forward to building on that with our new group this fall."
The 15-team field features some of the nation's best programs, including
Oklahoma State, which finished No. 2 in last spring's final rankings, along with
North Carolina and
UCLA, both ranked in the top 15. The tournament also includes
Purdue, Eoff's alma mater, which joined the Trojans in the
Auburn Regional last spring.
Following the two-day event in South Bend, Little Rock will return home to close out its fall slate by hosting the
Everett Buick GMC Classic at
Chenal Country Club.
