Little Rock forward Maria Schuller has been named to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's All-South Region Third Team, becoming Little Rock's first All-Region selection since 2019. The sophomore delivered one of the most dominant attacking seasons in program history, leading the OVC while establishing herself among the nation's top forwards.
Schuller closed the year with 12 goals and 28 points across 17 matches, finishing first in the OVC in both categories as well as in goals per game at 0.71. She ranked second in the conference with 56 shots and added four assists to round out a complete offensive profile. Nationally, she finished 20th in goals per game and 22nd in points per game, placing her firmly among the NCAA's most productive attackers.
One of her defining moments came on October 12 with a hat trick against Morehead State, one of the top single-game scoring performances in the league this season. She added multi-point efforts against Tulsa, Central Arkansas, and Arkansas–Pine Bluff, ending the year with a conference-best four multi-point matches. Her play helped Little Rock finish unbeaten in conference play at 5–0–4 while leading the OVC in goals and points.
Reflecting on the honor, Schuller said, "I am honored to be in the position to represent UALR in this way and I couldn't do it without the girls around me. We will keep this thing rolling into next season and bring even more wins and awards home!"
Head Coach Kelly Farrell shared her pride in Schuller's season-long growth and consistency, saying, "I'm so proud of Maria for her well deserved recognition as an all-region player. Maria put in a tremendous amount of work this last year to elevate her game and has proven herself, not only in the OVC, but now in the South Region. Maria has an incredibly bright future and I'm excited to see what our team and her have in store for 2026."
Schuller's All-Region selection highlights a breakout year that elevated both her individual profile and the momentum of the Little Rock program. With two seasons still ahead of her, she returns in 2026 as one of the premier forwards in Division I and a central piece of the Trojans' continued rise.
