LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Michael Gibbs, a dedicated member of the Little Rock Department of Athletics since 2021, has been promoted to Senior Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations. In his new role, Gibbs will serve as a member of the program's Senior Leadership Team and continue to lead the department's compliance efforts while taking on additional oversight of Human Resources operations, Sport Performance, and Sports Medicine.

"Michael has been an invaluable asset to Trojan Athletics since the moment he joined our team," said Little Rock Director of Athletics Frank M. Cuervo. "His expertise, dedication, and leadership have been crucial in shaping the success of our department. Michael's ability to build strong relationships across campus and manage multiple responsibilities with efficiency speaks to his professionalism and commitment to excellence, while exhibiting leadership, integrity, and a strong commitment to Student-Athlete success. As he takes on this expanded role, I have full confidence that Michael will continue to elevate our programs and help us reach even greater heights."

Since joining Trojan Athletics, Gibbs has been instrumental in managing the day-to-day operations of the compliance office and serving as a liaison between athletics and several key campus departments, including Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Conduct. "I would like to thank Director of Athletics, Frank M. Cuervo for his belief in my abilities to serve in this new role within our department," Gibbs said.
